“Amazed!!! Stayed at several Hotels throughout the years in Florida Traveling with the Bank for work and the U.S. to see family. This Hotel is a well kept secret!! Looks like a year old facility and it’s been here over 15 years I am told. Has a beautiful indoor pool and jacuzzi with amazing hours for enjoyment. The cleanliness is beyond belief and the Staff has great hospitality and attitudes.”
“The good- Customer service was excellent, Pool area was very nice. Clock on microwave was correct, & small coffee pot worked. The Morning breakfast bar was well put together. Water pitcher always available. Dollar General next door if needed, parking lot well lit in evening. The not so good- Sauna in pool area didn't give an indication it was running other than power light being on. After a couple mins though, could tell it was warming up. Bathtub drain plug was out of the tub. May have just been fixed? Bathtub did however, drain properly. Blackout curtain in room didn't have a shear. Overall happy with the stay. Would recommend.”
“I recently stayed at the Altenhofen Hotel in Seneca, Kansas, and overall had a positive experience with a few notable drawbacks. The hotel is conveniently located on the outskirts of town on the west side, making it easy to access while still being close to local amenities. It sits just across the road from a Dollar General and a Sonic, which is handy for quick stops. Seneca doesn’t offer a huge variety of dining options, but there are a few solid choices in town, my personal favorite being the local Mexican restaurant. One of the standout aspects of the hotel is its cleanliness. Everything felt well-maintained, and the staff were consistently friendly, professional, and helpful throughout my stay. My room was spacious and comfortable in terms of layout and overall condition. However, the biggest downside was the bed and pillows. I did not get a good night’s sleep during my stay. The mattress was much too firm for my preference, and the pillows were even firmer. Honestly, some of the hardest pillows I’ve ever encountered. It would make a big difference if the hotel offered a variety of pillow options (softer and firm) or added something like a good quality mattress topper to improve comfort. If you prefer a softer sleeping setup, I’d strongly recommend bringing your own pillow. The shower was a plus, with good water pressure and consistent temperature. I did have a minor issue with the faucet, it was difficult to fully turn off and had to be positioned just right to stop dripping, but it wasn’t a major problem. Lighting is also very good in the rooms. I didn't take advantage of the included breakfast in the mornings but it looked like they had a good variety for the most part. Overall, this is likely the nicest place to stay in Seneca, especially given the limited options in town. It’s clean, well-run, and conveniently located. That said, for the price point, I do think improving the comfort of the beds and pillows should be a priority. If they addressed that, it would significantly enhance the overall guest experience.”
“Stayed for a few days. We were mainly there just to sleep. Whole Inn was clean and well kept. Our room was straightened up daily and fresh towels left for us. Staff was friendly and helpful. On site coin operated washer and dryer saved us a trip and soap available at the front desk for a small fee. Will definitely stay again if we’re back in the area.”
“The hotel staff is very kind and accommodating. The breakfast was great for adults and kids. The rooms were clean and big enough for us to be a portable crib in with plenty of room left. I highly recommend this hotel if you are near Seneca and looking for a place to stay!”
“Very pleased with everything. Friendly staff, very clean the breakfast hit the spot. We will return”
“Very nice place. It's a little dated, but has the cleanliness and general appearance of being new. Very clean and well maintained. Our room a/c unit seemed a little tired and was a bit noisy, but worked just fine. Although the beds they lacked the firmness of a new mattress, they were clean and comfortable. Walls are a bit thin (we could hear people talking or a TV late at night and it wasn't anyone in the hall). Staff were very nice. The hot breakfast was delicious. This hotel was definitely a few steps above my expectations for a small-town hotel.”
